McCoy, Jack (1972) Hydrology of western Collier County, Florida. Tallahassee, FL, Florida Geological Survey, (Report of Investigations - Florida Geological Survey, 63)
Abstract
The U.S. Geological Survey was requested in 1967 to locate areas that would most likely yield the greatest quantities of the best quality water to satisfy the projected municipal needs of western Collier County. The investigation included the following phases: (1) evaluation of existing data; (2) determination of the hydrologic and geologic characteristics of the subsurface materials; (3) collection of miscellaneous discharge data in the inland canal complex and interpretation of the data; and (4) determination of the quality of water.
