    Abstract

Commercial landings for the 1962-63 through 1966-67 seasons ranged from a high of 92.9 million pounds landed in 1962-63 to a low of 41.2 million pounds landed during 1966-67. The 1958 year class contributed 401,054,000 fish and 127,207,000 pounds through the 9 seasons it was present in the fishery. This was the largest number of fish contributed to the fishery by any year class since jack mackerel canning started in 1947. (30pp.)
