    Abstract

    During the April 1 - June 30, 1977 quarter, 28 launch ramps, hoists, and boat rental locations were sampled 300 times. During the sample days 17,354 anglers and 853 divers were interviewed. They expended 120,065 effort hours and landed 39,369 fishes of 152 identified species. The ten most commonly landed species were: 1) white croaker, Genyonemus lineatus, 25%; 2) Pacific bonito, Sarda chiliensis, 8%; 3) kelp bass, Paralabrax clathratus, 6%; 4) Pacific mackerel, Scomber japonicus, 6%; 5) barred sand bass, Paralabrax nebulifer, 4%; 6) olive rockfish, Sebastes serranoides, 3%; 7) copper rockfish, S. caurinus, 3%; 8 ) bocaccio, S. paucispinis, 3%; 9). vermilion rockfish, S. miniatus, 2%; and 10) greenspotted rockfish, S. chlorostictus, 2%.
